Joe must go

South Carolina is covered in primary dust; it is now one for the books, but our work has not ended:  No matter if you voted for Haley or Trump, the important thing now is recognizing how seriously flawed Joe Biden is, which is why we must communicate facts to our friends. Joe Biden is more than simply not up to the job; he is a strategic drag on our national security.

Special counsel Robert K. Hur, who was appointed to investigate Biden’s illegal handling of classified documents, recently decided not to pursue charges. This decision came after the special counsel’s conclusion that the president of the United States was a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” and had “diminished faculties in advancing age.”

Continuing, the report says that Mr. Hur wrote that “[i]t would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him — by then a former president well into his 80s — of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.”

It continues, and gets worse:  “He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended (‘if it was 2013 — when did I stop being vice president?’), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began (‘in 2009, am I still vice president?’),” the report said. “He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died.”

In a normal political atmosphere and arena where both sides can agree on a few fundamentals, no further evidence should be needed to prove he is unfit to serve as the leader of the free world, and the one man with the authority to launch a nuclear war. Clearly, his continued role at the White House would be considered elder abuse by many experts in that field.

Most of his embarrassing moments have been long since been swept under the rug. A staffer dressed as the Easter Bunny physically dragged him away from a group of reporters. Employing the left’s own death sentence of cultural appropriation, he finished a speech that had nothing to do with England by saying, “God save the Queen.” In a softball interview with 60 Minutes, the reporter finished his sentences for him. He has repeatedly told reporters that he will “get in trouble if [he takes] any more questions.” He is provided with a list of which reporters to call on in press conferences and openly refers to it at the podium to see who’s next, and then his staff quite literally screams when they decide a press conference is over and demands that reporters exit the room.

Under orders from President Biden, our southern border remains virtually open — more than six million illegal immigrants have entered the country during his tenure, but speaking off the record, several U.S. Border Patrol agents have stated the number is likely closer to ten million. Allowing — no, encouraging — this to happen surely qualifies as a high crime against the country.

Biden’s corrupt sale-of-access to his previous vice-presidential office via his son Hunter can no longer be denied. If only half of the reports filed are true, the evidence is there in black and white:  Emails, bank records, eyewitness testimony, phony shell corporations receiving money — the list goes on. It is only due to a horribly corrupt Department of Justice that he has not been indicted, and the bank account records have much more to tell. We predict even more evidence will surface showing what the “Big Guy” received.

President Biden made the willful decision to end America’s energy independence we enjoyed under President Trump and stifled new drilling by American energy companies. As a result, the price of gas under Biden topped $5 a gallon and although gas that expensive is certainly irritating for most Mercury readers, it was life-changing for the working poor.

In addition, President Biden has led the efforts to dump tens of billions of taxpayer dollars into subsidies for “renewable energy” and electric vehicles — both of which have failed miserably.

Every physician friend of the Mercury has stated in no uncertain terms that the president not only displays the cognitive symptoms of dementia, but his physical symptoms are also evident:  walking takes effort and falls are constant. Each of these failings are also on full display for our enemies to witness and act on.

Biden and his cronies in Congress have been playing from the socialist handbook for years, and on of their favorite is the classic “accusing others of doing what you yourself are doing” tactic; the term for it is gaslighting. There is an oft-played video of then-VP Biden laughing with his sycophant friends as he tells the story of how he threatened to withhold $1 billion in aid to Ukraine if their leaders failed to fire the prosecutor investigating the company where Hunter “served on the board.” President Trump was impeached for asking Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to investigate alleged corruption.

As much as we certainly applaud President Biden for his strong stance in support of Israel and Ukraine, those long-standing policy decisions are not all they may seem. His level of support for Ukraine was enough to keep them from losing, and he continues to question Israel’s need to wipe out a protract enemy on its border.

President Biden is often lost and confused as to where to exit a stage. He is frequently physically led by his wife. He is shaking hands with the air, with no one even nearby.

Sadly, he is not just unfit, he is a global embarrassment and although we acknowledge that this is not his fault, we must vote him out of office. A conspiracy of lying pundits, toady politicians and the White House inner circle must be broken by a massive turnout across the nation to combat truckloads of early and harvested ballots.
