All Rhodes lead to home

Don’t be fooled: King Street has not cornered the market on high-end boutique shopping in Charleston — not by a long shot. To wit, Rhodes Boutique recently opened a second store, Rhodes Home & Gift, located just a few doors down from their flagship store in South Windermere Shopping Center.

“We developed a wonderful clientele at our traditional boutique,” said owner Caroline Rhodes, “but also received exceptional response to our selection of gifts and home décor. In the end, we ran out of room trying to stock everything. The next logical step was to open a new store to display all these niche home and gift offerings.”

With the addition of the new space, the Rhodes team can display a wider variety of popular collections and enable clients to see more of what the brands offer. Among the sought-after brands they now have on display are Fine linens by Matouk and Sferra, Arte Italica, Casafina, Circa Lighting, Nest Candles, Wallpaper by Schumacher, Simon Pearce glassware, Currey and Company and more.

“We enjoyed great success assisting with wedding and gift registries in Rhodes Boutique,” said Caroline, “but space made it difficult for brides too see everything available. Now They can see it displayed in a beautiful home-style setting.”

“It’s great fun working with a bride or engaged couples as they make their wedding registry selections,” Caroline added.

The store, designed by Caroline’s daughter, McNair Rhodes Somheil, offers custom embroidery and monogramming to personalize the clients’ selections, as well as complimentary giftwrapping. Visit them online at rhodesboutique.com.
